These are some fantastic videos, If you've ever wanted to learn about music theory this is probably the best possible place you could start! His video demos are short and to the point, very well explained, and focus on his hands on the keyboard to utilize the visual element to help convey the ideas, rather than just staring at a talking head the entire time.
WARNING: The site has a "Site Pal" on the main page, which starts talking as soon as the page loads, this is very annoying and loud, remember to mute your speakers before you click the link, everything after that is fantastic though.
One other note, there is a link at the bottom of every page to "request free access to entire site", I don't know what else is on the site, or who he allows access to it, but the free content provided is invaluable to those wishing to learn about music theory.

This site has a very nice looking landing page, followed by a not so pretty content area, but don't let this scare you away. This site is packed with tons of small flash animations and exercises to help teach you all about scales, chords, intervals, harmonic functions, and just about anything else there is about music theory. The site may be lacking in the description and explanation behind many of these, however it makes up for it with the shear amount of content it contains. The reference section alone should be a staple of every musicians bookmarks, it is jam packed with things I've never heard of, but will soon learn all about. This website is an excellent compliment to some of the other sites listed here on Internet Learning Resource, which will go into more depth and "hand holding" with their explanation of concepts, while Teoria is sure to have an exercise or tutorial for just about any concept you could wish to go into more depth on.

These are some really useful slide show style flash animations from Ricci Adams. They focus heavily on sheet music and how music is written, but is still covering the important features of music theory. If you want to know more about reading and writing sheet music this is the perfect place, if you are looking to enhance your knowledge of music in general you will find many great lessons here. His slide shows include sound, and often play the music to what is being demonstrated so you can hear what you see. He also includes a bunch of different "trainer" flash applications that help you memorize the keys on a piano, learn the notes on a trumpet, or a guitar, or almost any their instrument! A must for a new musician looking to put in that extra time between practice making sure the instrument is an extension of themselves, rather than a tool to play. Ricci even has a few utilities to help you along, a sheet music generator which will let you design different types of sheet music to print out, as well as a chord generator, and I'm still leaving out the ear trainers, and many other useful tools on this website, it is a must in all musicians bookmarks.
